Mujahid Farooq did not start with a network or venture capital. He started with skill, discipline, and a clear belief: that a person from Sargodha can compete with anyone in the world — and win.
He began as a freelancer, earned Top Rated status on both Upwork and Fiverr, and used that foundation to build Softileo into a company that today employs over 25 in-house team members, serves 700+ clients globally, and has completed more than 1,000 projects across every major time zone.
What separates Mujahid as a leader is his dual commitment: to his clients and to his city. While running a growing software company, he simultaneously built the freelancing and technology community infrastructure that Sargodha had never had before.
He is recognised not just as a CEO, but as the person most responsible for putting Sargodha on Pakistan's technology map. His name is synonymous with freelancing, entrepreneurship, and digital ambition in the region.
Under Mujahid's leadership, Softileo has grown from a one-person freelance operation into one of the most capable software development companies in Pakistan.
When Mujahid founded Softileo, the goal was simple: build software that actually works for the businesses using it. No bloated proposals. No missed deadlines. No excuses. That principle has never changed — and it is the reason clients from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia keep coming back.
Today Softileo operates across three strategic locations — Sargodha as the development hub, Phoenix for solar industry and SaaS clients, and Nashville for HIPAA-compliant healthcare software. The company has delivered more than 1,000 projects, trained 600+ interns, and built partnerships with 25+ technology companies worldwide.
Mujahid has deliberately kept Softileo as a company that creates real jobs in Sargodha — not outsourced sub-contracts, but in-house team members working on enterprise-level projects. He is committed to showing the country that serious technology work can happen anywhere talent exists.
Running a successful company was not enough for Mujahid. He saw that Sargodha — a city brimming with intelligent, hardworking people — lacked the community infrastructure to convert that talent into real careers and real income.
In 2022, he founded FLCS — Freelancers Community Sargodha — to fill that gap. Not as a networking event, but as a serious, structured community with daily job listings, skill workshops, mentorship, and industry connections.
The impact has been concrete. FLCS now posts 8–10 job listings daily on behalf of local companies, has run 15+ free skill workshops under the "Career & Growth" series, hosted the first Freelance Festival Sargodha, and launched WFLCS — Women Freelancers Community Sargodha — to ensure the city's female talent is not left behind.
Mujahid also leads the Sargodha Chapter of PAFLA — Pakistan Freelancers Association — coordinating with national leadership to represent Sargodha's freelancing interests at the policy level.
Mujahid has become one of the most invited technology speakers in Pakistan's freelancing and entrepreneurship circuit — with appearances on national television, major conferences, and universities.
Mujahid does not speak from theory. He speaks from results. Every stage appearance is rooted in what he has personally built, failed at, learned from, and scaled. That authenticity is what makes audiences — from university students to senior entrepreneurs — pay attention.
His talks are known for being direct, practical, and inspiring — without the empty motivation that fills most conference stages.
"My goal is to expand Softileo in a way that creates thousands of job opportunities and plays a real role in enhancing Pakistan's IT sector — at the city level first, and then nationally. Sargodha has the talent. It just needs the opportunity, the structure, and people willing to build both."
He is building towards a future where Sargodha is not a footnote in Pakistan's tech story — but a chapter of its own. Where the city produces not just freelancers, but founders. Not just developers, but entrepreneurs who create employment for others.
Every decision at Softileo, every community initiative through FLCS, and every stage appearance is part of that same mission: to raise the ceiling for what is possible from this city.
